CONTEXT

Canada’s regulatory system is recognized as world-class, but its ongoing evolution is vital to meeting the demands of today’s economy where innovation and digital disruption are widespread.

In its 2018 Federal Budget, the Government of Canada committed to pursue a Regulatory Reform Agenda to make Canada’s regulatory system more agile, transparent and responsive so that businesses across the country can explore and act on new opportunities — resulting in benefits for all Canadians.

This year’s conference theme is “Agile Regulations: Ensuring Safety + Enabling Innovation”, which will examine the principles behind agile regulation and what that means for today’s regulatory professionals.
